WSBA Race Numbers will be used and numbers go on the left side. Rental numbers are available at Registration for a $10.00 fee with $5:00 refundable when the number is returned.

The Taco Time NW Cycling Team in partnership with our sponsor Taco Time NW Restaurants is presenting the 2023 Taco Time Volunteer Park Criterium. We will be presenting the race for the 56th year on Saturday June 17, 2023.

Registration opens March 15th.

Early Registration: Adults $45.00. Juniors $25.00. Second race $20.00.

Full Registration after May 31st: Adults $50.00. Juniors $30.00. Second race $20.00.

Day of Registration: Adults $60.00. Juniors $40.00. Second race $ 25.00.

Rules: Race is held rain or shine. No refunds. Held under USA Cycling Permit # 7306. A 2023 USA Cycling license is required. Annual license available for purchase at registration. One day license available for Cat 5 men and Cat 5 women. Waivers must be signed at registration prior to each individual race except for pre-registration though USA Cycling. Fields of less than 10 starters can be combined at Race Directors discretion. All prizes will be awarded at the podium ceremonies and winners must be present to receive their awards.

Podium Awards at: 12:00pm, 1:30pm, 3:30pm, 4:30pm, 5:30pm, and 7:30pm.

WSBA Senior State Criterium Championship

The Taco Time Volunteer Park Criterium will include the WSBA Senior State Criterium Championship. The Cat 5 Men, Cat 5 Women, Cat 4 Women, and the Cat 4 Men will start the competition with the first three races starting at 10:00am to determine the state champion in those categories.

The Cat 3 Women, the Cat 1/2 Women race at 4:00pm, and the Cat 3 Men race at 4:45pm. All categories are scored separately. The exciting Cat 1/2 Men race at 5:50pm for seventy minutes.

Final podium awards at 7:30pm.

All riders are welcome to compete, but only USA Cycling Annual license holders and Washington State Bicycle Association members are eligible for the championship titles.

Non-binary

The Taco Time Volunteer Park Criterium will have awards for people identifying as non-binary that will be included in a combined race with the Cat 4/5 Women. The Cat 4 Women, Cat 5 Women, and non-binary folks will have their own awards and podium presentation and will be scored separately.

Juniors ages 10 – 16

Let the racing begin! You have your own combined race with boys and girls scored separately. Awards will go three deep for the Juniors age 10 – 12, and Juniors age 13 – 14, Juniors age 15 – 16. You will race for 20 minutes at 12:05pm with your own podium ceremony 1:00pm.

WSBA “Ride On” Beer Garden

The Taco Time NW Cycling Team is supporting the Washington State Bicycle Association by hosting the WSBA “Ride ON” Beer Garden. All proceeds go to support the programs of the WSBA. The beer garden is located on the start/finish line so you can have a beer and watch the exciting racing.

Beer Garden – Gear and Bike Check

Ride to the race. Get a good warmup. Check your gear. Race and win. Check your bike. Now enjoy the racing from the WSBA “Ride On” Beer Garden located on the start/finish line. Watch the podium ceremonies, collect your winnings and enjoy the ride home.

Zaytoona Mediterranean Food

Zaytoona Mediterranean food truck is a favorite and we are bringing it back again this year. Open from 11:30am to 6:30pm.

Wheel/Bike Support pit

The Wheel/Bike Support Pit with be “Wheels in/Wheels out” Bring your extra set of wheels to the pit before your race should you flat or have a wheel issue.
