During the off-season, October through February, the Taco Time NW Cycling Team runs a team ride every Saturday. We meet up for coffee at 9 am, with feet in the pedals by 9:30 am, sharp. Our “LSD” (Long Slow Distance) ride is a great fit for people looking to get in solid base miles with a friendly group of riders — it’s a moderate pace, with a no-drop policy. Our “A” ride will go farther, and faster — a good off-season challenge. As we get closer to the start of the racing season, we’ll start to include skills sessions in our rides, as well as some race simulations.
Our team rides are open to everybody. If you’d like to ride with us, we do ask that you be courteous on the road, reasonably fit and self sufficient on your bike, comfortable riding in a close group of people, and come prepared. A helmet is a must, as is a typical roadside repair kit: spare tubes, air, and a multi-tool. Additionally, on rainy days, please be sure to have full fenders with buddy flaps.
